Yes I am a newbie with regards to the M3DS real but I don't think this is my problem. What I am having an issue with is the unit not loading after each gameplay, meaning that when I play a game and subsequently exit the game (turn DS lite off basically) the M3DS is unable to load the next time I turn the DS lite on again, it just keeps getting stuck and the Loading... screen. If I do remove the microSD card and re-insert back into the M3DS then sometimes I can get it to load again but more often than not I have to reformat the card and load the files from scratch again. Maybe I am exiting the games incorrectly or could it possibly be due to a bad microSD card or even the M3DS itself. This obviously shouldn't be happening but unfortunately it is happening everytime I play a game, which is the most aggravating part of it all. I welcome any suggestions to this quandry of mine. Thanks.
these days microsds are really cheap so i would get another one and try it, it could be the micro, or the flash card or even the ds try another flash card, ds if you have them. Also do you have the latest firmware, i tried the cd's firmware and i couldnt load ANY ds rom at all, i think i have the latest fwv 2.9 this one works fine. see what yours is. I would assume its the flashcard as i have had a range of problems before and it has always been the card. These flashcards are not built to the highest standards for obvious reasons, but memory cards are so i would try another flashcard. regards
I am using the latest 2.9 firmware although I think 3.0 has now been released as well. I've tried the combo M3DS and microSD on a second DS lite and have the same issues. I'm using a 1GB Lexar card and I'm waiting on 2GB Sandisk and 4GB SDHC Transcend (class 6) to arrive that I've ordered as well. Hopefully its the cheap 1GB card I bought just to test the M3DS out.
Sorry I don't understand when you say that "flashcards are not built to the highest standards... but memory cards are.." Are they not one in the same?
to be honest mate its very probably your memory card playing up , could you try another to make sure ? ( begging or borrowing ) i had a r4ds which would just say loading and nothing else , turned out it was the memory card , put a new one in and it worked like a charm . also i would use the latest V3.0 system file . ps. ive always used kingston and sandisk micro sd memory cards and only ever had 1 that was corrupted . woof811.
wellnot really, basically flashcards are although not illegal they are still considered piratish if you know what i mean, they bypass the ds firmware which is illegal. The flashcards are built to a lower standard as they are not large companies that manufacture them, for example look at your reall ds game card its strong tough and built to last, flashcards on the other hand are more flimsy and you need to take care of them, of course some are built well but not to the same standard. I have had 1 m3 simply which after 8 months stopped being read by the ds because the metallica strips were worn down. My first evo cyclods i got was defective and needed to be replaced, my sons cyclo works but occasionlly malfunctions where as my one works flawlessly, so out of 5 cards 2 turned out to be lemons and one is alittle bit iffy. Nonethe less i am glad they exist and am happy with the build as they are still well built just not as well as other things. regards
OK I understand what you are talking about now, simply the M3DS vs the microSD. Well I hope in this case it is the memory card even though like you say they may be built to higer standards. Does anyone recommend anything else other than the M3DS real, I simply chose it for the fact that it accepts the high capacity microSD but ultimately i wan't something stable and possibly with a proven track record. The M3DS is I believe still a farily new product. I was planning on ordering a second card for my other DS but I am now wondering if I shouldn't try another type instead. Thanks.
they are all good providing you are not unlucky and get a faulty one, i have a perfectly working cyclo evolution and a perfectly working m3 ds real, with the real you can get the gba expansion pak and play gba roms, if your justan nds junkie then the cyclo evo is the best in my opinion.
Better than the R4 which seems to have great reviews everywhere? Although you are limited by 2GB, but as long as it works. I don't have any legacy GBA games so all I care about is DS games.
Hi Guys! I have also started to see problems with the M3DS Real micro sd. Most of the games on my sd work fine, however, some, like Mario Kart DS, screw up (display goes apeshit), or lock on the "loading" screen. These problems have only just started to appear. The strange thing is, most of my other games work just dandy. My DS is fine (I have tried Genuine gamecards. work great)just these selected games...is this my M3DS Real or the micro sd?? The big money is on the sd card, but I need a second opinion!
