Hi,using TDK440N with pinnacle instant copy on AMD 1400, 3/4 gig ddr ram and loadsa hard disk space. Two sets of disks(princo"ice"4x-R and ritek datawrite red 4x-R) I bought get refused by burner with message : error writing lead in, illegal request:cannot write medium - incompatible format.
Is my burner a wuss or am I doing something wrong or are these disks pants please?

Try using the Record Now Max burning program. it is really good. You can download the trial or full version and use the user guide provided here:

i wasn't able to find out for sure, but your burner might be +R which means -R media won't work, ie "incompatible format".

ta sly but it is a multiformat burner and in theory able to burn anything I chuck at so you can imagine how amusing I find having drives full of film, 125 disks and noyhing I can do write now!
