    Hi all,
With advance thanks, I need to know if there is a DVD recorder that has the following functionality:
Have a HD (80 Gig or better)
Record onto DVD R (plus and minus)
record onto DVD RW (plus and minus)
    Read above discs
    Support MP3 and Jpeg play
    Play back MPEG4 , DivX
    Have G-code
    Read CD-R , CD-RW

    Am I dreaming???

No, you're not dreaming. Every PC with decent DVD recorder can do this. Even more.

The Toshiba can be found here:

    http://www.tacp.toshiba.com/dvr/product.asp?model=rs-tx60

It uses Minus discs only , with RW capability.

I have had a Pioneer 810H with TIVO for nearly two years now and I love it, If I did not have it I would buy that Toshiba. I would consider buying it anyhow , as a second unit, except that by the end of this year or early next year they should be coming out with units that accept cablecards. What is a Cablecard ?? Glad that you asked. A Cablecard is the size of a PCMCIA card. It is effect the cable box that does the unsrambling of the cable signal , and lets the pay channels plus digital channels work. All in that little card.My Pioneer and this Toshiba are analog or Standard Defintion machines . To work with Digital cable or Hi-Def and for ease of set up and use , a Cablecard DVR with TIVO will not be available till later this year or next year.
