Ok I can mod halo 1 & 2 but what if I want to mod any game I wan't ? Is there a specific set of programs that can open any kind of game files and allow you to mod whatever you want, or are there only specifically made programs like DotHalo that have to be specially made for that one game ? I appreciate any help.
So I can just download a common hex editing program and use it ? If so, is there a hex editing tutorial ? To me, its just a bunch of numbers.
Yeah, hex editing is extremely complex. But some games have programs made fo them. You're going to have to search around the web for a hex edting tutorial.
I had looked in google and yahoo now and unfortunately all the tutorials are either for halo1&2 or they use halo1&2 as an example. I do know that hex editing is the most universal, and the only way of editing any game you prefer. Thats why if I learn hex, I can mod games that don't have programs deticaded to them. At least thats what I hope to do.
