hey i have a htc mogul which is my phone, and i use it as a usb modem for my pc. im too broke for comcast right now lol so this is all i have for the meantime. i play my xbox 360 using this connection by connecting the 360 to my pc's Ethernet card via Ethernet cable, then i bridge the connections in windows but its hella slow and sometimes i get kicked off. is there a way to use the pc as a router w/o bridging them since windows kinda sucks managing connections.

also i have a linkys router but i don't think i can use it with the usb modem unless theres a way to connect the uplink via the pc's Ethernet card.

could anyone please help me? thanks i appreciate it.

in an ideal word you would have a base unit with 2 networ cards, run Linux and then run a routing software on the linux server thus turning it into a router.

Agreed, Linux is the only way to go for stuff like this.
