Is there anything comparable to TMPGE?

    I really like how easy TMPGE is to use but there is so little freedom as far as menu designs (I hate the play all button that is always on there and I can't seem to get rid of). Is there anything that is as easy to use, preserves original chapters, and allows you to add menus with more creative freedom? (and one that allows you to hear the sound when editing would be great too!)

    I tried both Sony Vegas and Architect but I can't get my files into the proper format I guess because it's not recognizing my media. What can I rip with or convert with to be able to use these? I have shrink and Decrypter, neither of which it recognizes.

    What's the source video and audio codecs?
    If it's ripped DVD, then you need the AC3 plugins for whatever program you want.
