Is there anyway to determine what dvd authoring program was used to create a dvd? the menu doesn't say so I was wondering if there was maybe a codec or something that would let you know.

I have a screenshot of the menu if that helps, i can post it. Its a real nice menu and i'd like to incorporate it in other things. unfortunately i've contacted the person who made it but got no response.

any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

In the log file, as dvd decrypter decrypts a disc, a source implementation line comes up and the program used to make the disc is stated as nero, shrink, etc

well, i tried to use AnyDVD and CloneDVD to decrypt the dvd but it didn't show me what the authoring program was. I insert the disc, waited for AnyDVD to read it then opened it up in CloneDVD to copy it. The log didn't state anything about the type of authoring program was used.

    Did I do something wrong?

Yes, you didn't use DVDDecrypter as suggested.

D'oh! when he wrote dvd decypter it made it a link so I thought he was telling me to use that program. I get it now.

I will get DVD Decrypter and hopefully that should take care of it.

Thanks fellas and I'll post my results!

well, i tried using dvd decrypter but it only told me what program was used to burn the dvd, not which one authored it.

    Heres the menu:

if anyone know what was used to make it, i'd appreciate it.

i downloaded Ulead Movie Factory 6 but I don't think its the same program that was used to make it as the menus are templates and its not really letting me customize it completely to my liking.

    Thanks fellas.
