    Hi guys,

Before I begin, I just want to tell you that im kinda new here so if this is not right place then im sorry, I don't have the time to raed the rules because I'm in a hurry these days. And I have to buy a computer 2morrow morning so im asking your advices.
I'm not sure if it's good enough or not. The technician says it's good enough for the purposes I want to use it, but my brother wants me to buy a higher processor and motherboard because if I don't, then the PC will get old quickly in 2-3 years.
I'm confused. I don't want to pay a lot for my PC, that's why I don't want to upgrade for a higher processor or motherboard.

I want to use my PC for the following:

    -studies
    -downloading
    -watching movies, anime
-capturing videos (TV to PC or VHS to PC)
-playing games (Im not an extreme gamer so I don't play high-tech games such as DOOM3. The only game I play these months is C&C Generals Zero Hour. But I told him that I might play games like Unreal Tournamanet 2004)

    Here's the computer:

    Processor: AMD SP3000 skt 754
    M. Board: MSI K8TNFSR SKT754, 800FSB
    Power supply: 400W
    Memory: Kingston 512MB DDR-400mhz
    HardDisk: Western Digital 160GB-7200PRM SATA
    Video Card: PC/ATI RAD9250, 128DDR, PCI, TVO/DVI/DU

-Do you think this computer will make a good performance for the purposes I use it for?
    - Will the video card be able to play games like Unreal Tournament 2004 as he said?
    - Should I buy it or do I have to upgrade it as my bro said (as I said, I have a specific budget)
    - Do you have any comments you want to say?

My budget is around 900$ CDN. Right now, the PC costs 786,13$ tax included. However, the monitor and the TV tuner are not included yet. So if I include them, the price will go up to ~980$. That's why I don't want to upgrade my PC as my bro suggest. However, If it's HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to upgrade it or else my PC would be absolute crap for the next 3 years then I guess i will do it or else I will lose lots of money later.

please answer me as soon as possible, as I said, I will buy it 2morrow morning.

    Thank you in advance
