Does this seem like a good buy? im not sure on the brand, but at least it has heat spreaders... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820221010 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820221009 1.5 gb...i only have 3 slots and the fastest speed i can run is pc2700.. so i figure this would be good for now for videos and media and still leave me a slot to upgrade again.... but by that time im sure id be buying a new computer anyway... thanks for the help in advance...
It looks like a great buy, but another thing that will help you with your ram managment is a program called "FreeRAM XP Pro" think of it as a disc defrag for your ram, it works great, and its a free program. I would suggest after your buy that RAM, go to majorgeeks.com and go to memory, then look for FreeRAM XP pro, it seriosuly works great, and will help you with your ram.
ok, i saw this was on sale at circuit city.. is this decent memory?? or should i get something better.. this would be good cuz i could just add it to my current 768mb pc2100.. i wouldnt need to buy all new 2700 ram.. good idea? i know its not as fast.. but would it be THAT noticable?? http://weeklyad.circuitcity.com/cir...gle&storeid=2397228&rapid=156933&pagenumber=5
