Hi Please be gentle with the noob.....

I'm trying to backup a DVD to Avi using AutoGK, the original disc has 9 titles, I have ripped the main movie out of this using CloneDVD, so the main movie is now spread over 4 titles, but when I was ripping I noticed the main movie is infact 4 movies, one to each title (each title is a seperate PGC1), when I run AutoGK to backup it will only backup the title (PGC1) I piont it at, which I have read about and seems to be the norm.

What I want to do is merge all 4 PGC1's so I can backup to 1 Avi....
Can this be done? Is this what is known as Reauthering?

One option is to just backup each title to a seperate Avi, then burn all 4 Avi's to one disc, which I am quite happy to do, but I am curious of how to solve the original problem.

Hope I put this in the right section.

I think I have worked out the solution.

I deleted all the .IFO & .BUP from the rip, and renamed all the .VOB's so they run in sequence (VTS_01_1.VOB through to VTS_01_8.VOB), then with IfoEdit I created a new .IFO for the Vobset.

I just pionted AutoGK at the .IFO and it recognises it with run time etc looking right, so now to try and encode to Avi......

    brb...... lol
