Hi, Is VRO the file extension for dvd-vr? I just opened my control panel, and went to Tools> folder options> file types tab, and DVD-VR is not listed on this pc. Could that be why none of the software (nero, ulead, dvd shrink, etc) won't import and read my dvd-rw disc? My dvd-rw is not css protected...all the software says it is, or either can't the VIDEO_TS folder can't be imported because its not valid and lists an id number. Should I add the dvd-vr format in the files tab, and see if that works? Kimmi
Yes a .VRO extension denotes a VR recorded disc. A VR disc does not contain a VIDEO_TS folder, hence normal settops won't be able to read it. The VRO files are in a DVD_RTAV folder. NeroVision Express 3 can handle this. Make DVD-> DVD Video-> Import Disc. Or you can copy the VRO file to your HD and rename .VRO to .mpg and it should work in most apps. My older Pioneer DVD recorder gives you the option in set-up to record in either VR or Video mode.
