There's a newer firmware, version 1.07, available for your burner here: http://support.necam.com/optical/downloads/flashfirmware/fw/ND3550A_v107.exe I'd recommend ImgBurn over Nero for burning DL disks. http://www.imgburn.com (free) It's always tough to find comm errors when RAID controllers are involved since Nero misreports. I didn't see the media code for your DL media listed in the log. What brand are you using? Verbatim +R DL are the best, hands down. The error you received is usaully due to the burner not liking the media. The firmware update may help.
