iso file

    i recently downloaded a large file & it is in an iso file. how is it possible to open it & if so, what programme do i need?

    You can't open it unless you burn it onto a cd using Nero Burning Rom.

    maybe the file is fake

    When in Nero did you hit File -> Burn Image. If you tried to burn it to a data cd then it would just burn the file normally onto the disk. Make sure to use File -> Burn Image.

    the file i downloaded was a fake sent by some moron to upset & waste the time of people. thanks anyway for trying to help, won`t be caught out again like that!

    Probably just one of those big companies spreading fake files about in order to combat piracy.
