    hi,
I have many .iso movies on my hard drive. It is filling up my hard drive fast. My question is What is the best software to put these movies on a DVD? I have Roxio 6.1, and it doesn't recognize .iso. Most of these movies are around 4 gigs. I would like to compress and get at least 2 movies on one DVD. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Also can somebody explain the difference between the different formats of movies..... iso mgeg avi vob???? Or show me a link that will help me??
    thank you

nero's video program will let you make menus and whatnot.

I'm really having trouble with this. I now have nero 7 ultra, and I found where I can make menu's with Video files (.VOB). But I can't seem to find how to do it with .ISO. I'm getting too old to learn all this new stuff.
    Corn, or anyone??
here is a picture of the start menu, with Nero. Can you tell me what is the expert mode? Where do I go from there? Your help is greatly appreciated!

You could Extract the VOBs from the ISO using ISOBuster, then use Nero to add those VOBS and create a menu :)

If the law allows it you can find a copy of DVD shrink that will allow you to use the nero software and to compress multiple movies to a dvd.

    thanks tfosurf,
It worked! I don't have chapters, but I was able to shrink both movies and burn them on one disk. If you know of a way I can get a menu with .iso please let me know.
    thanks again.

    That's how ^^

I don't think you can burn ISO with a menu file. You need dvd video compliant files for that.

You can also use DVD Shrink or Recode and convert them to VOB files and then use NVE to create your menu and put the two movies on a disk.

If you have WinRAR which most people do you can extract an ISO with that by right clicking the ISO file and choose to extract. You can also do this with .IMG files by renaming the file with the extension .ISO and then using WinRAR to extract the ISO file.

Then you can go from there on adding 2 movies onto a disc. Which you will need to use a program like Nero Vision Express or even ConvertXTODvd (Yes you can use this program with DVD files as well) to combine the 2 movies to 1 disc with a menu.
