Hi, Ive got an ISO file which Id like to convert to a DVD which I can play as a movie. Whats the best (free) software to achieve this? Thank you.
ImgBurn. "Write image file to disc". BTW, if you are unsure if the contents of the iso are in fact a DVD movie, open the iso with your zip program. It should list a collection of files similar to this:
Hello attar, Thanks for replying. The file structure is basically what you displayed above. I did what you suggested and attempted to play the dvd with VLC Media Player. However, it would not play and VLC displayed this message: No suitable decoder module: VLC does not support the audio or video format "undf". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this. vlc should play it however there are videos i have which it won't so i switch to klite full, try extracting the files with a zip program 7zip is free, or you can grab winrar portable version from portable apps, then just plonk one of the largest files onto vlc if it still won't play try klite,if that can't play the whole vid or just a part of it you most likely have a corrupted/incomplete video
Hello ScorpNZ, I tried your suggestion but to no avail. Looks like the file is corrupted. But thanks anyway.
run dvdshrink over the extracted dvd files, they'll need to be in a folder, using author select main title & right clik on it & add,see if it will play where did the iso come from if it was a torrent you may have to put it back & run recheck with the torrent application
i had an iso file in windows,i mounted it with daemon tools lite, soon as i mounted it a menu popped up suggesting autoplay i hit auto play and it worked. That might work for you.
Per scorpNZ suggestion;if you run DVD Shrink and click 'File' > 'Open disc image' and browse to the .iso file it should load it. If it loads without complaint it means that it's a valid DVD movie image.
Hello everyone again. I downloaded the ISO again and burned it to a disk using ImgBurn. Guess what -- it worked beautifully! The previous download must have have been corrupted. So thanks to all of you!
