hi, i have a quick ISO to standalone burn question. First off, i dont really consider myslef all to new to the burning/backup scene as i have coverted and burnt many many discs but this issue i have seems to come up every so often. I downlaod an ISO file (my preferred format) and then i run the file through Shrink DVD to get it to fit on one disc. I do this with the playback option running, so that i can see that the movie is in fact there and complete. I then burn the movie to DVD.... but every now and then whne the DVD is put in a standalone player it says "Reading" on the screen, followed by "dvd" and then it says "ERR" on player sceen and the movie i just burnt says "incorrect disc" on tv screen. What do i need to do to get this to play on a standalone? seemed to be fine in the dvd shrink preview. this seems to only ever happen when using the odd ISO file. DO i need to reauthor the movie?? Any help would be great. THX

With iso, a safer way would be to create a virtual drive with e.g. Daemon Tools, mount the iso onto the virtual drive, check the contents, then burn with the appropriate programs.

Or you can use IsoBuster to extract the contents of the iso to hardisk.

    Good luck!
