iTunes help please

    whenever i hook up my iPod or click iTunes, a message pops up on my comeputer saying that iTunes has experienced a problem and needs to close out. any help would be appreciated

    Try updating to the most recent version of itunes.

    i downloaded the new 7.2 version of i tunes and when i try to open it, it says problem with audio configuration, any suggestions plz!!!
