I've searched the forums and such, but can never find a difinitive answer. Is there a program, like DVD Santa for example, that will take most any file formats including SVCD (because none of my DVD players support SVCD and all the SVCD to DVD guides I've read are mind boggling), XVID, and Divx and automatically convert them to DVD compliant files that I can just go ahead and throw in the Video_TS folder and have it play?

    thanks in advance

    HELLO..-Polaris-
U need a program called IsoBuster..To extract the raw Mpeg video from it's svcd or vcd..these can be on Disc or hard drive..usually there are 5 different sub folders..in IfoEdit go to the mpegav folder right click on it..highlight(Extract but FILTER only M2F2 Mpeg frames)..a new win opens ,tell it where u want to save your Mpeg Video..thats all their is to it
Next use VSO DivxToDVD it will convert your Mpeg TO DVD Compliant VOB files that are playable on your dvd player..Next u will need IfoEdit to create IFO & BUP files..these files tell your DVD player what going on & how to play yor DVD
Might sound complicated..but believe me its really easy.it only takes mins in IsoEdit & IfoEdit...Vso DivxToDVD takes about the same amount of time as the length of your movie 1:40 takes this long to convert.
IsoEdit-1st..to extract raw mpeg video...just takes mins
DivxToDVD-2nd..to create VOB files....length of your movie
    IfoEdit.3rd..to create IFO & BUP.........just takes mins

    And...?
It would help if you could maybe suggest other software, that will do what the user wants, instead of stupid comments, that are 2 days late.

I actually don't think nero takes long at all. It seems very efficient, especially since it does everything for you rather than wasting time going between 5 different encoding/formatting/burning programs. I love it.

The OP wants ONE program, not 12.
There are other all-in-one apps, but they all cost money, and most people usually have NVE already.
