Jailbreaking 3.1.2

hey, i know this has probably been asked a thousand times but i cant find. its just that stories seem to change about the risk of jailbreaking. ive heard its risk free and totally reversable and ive heard dont do it you'll brick it. whats the truth?? if its risk free il "make it rain" tonight.

Go for it! I've successfully jailbroken my iPhone 3G-S using blackra1n. It's by far the easiest jailbreak I've done. It's short and sweet.

 

everytime i try to use blackrain it keep freeze at the recovery mode screen, i won't load into the logo screen. how can i fix it?

 

i think blackrain is your problem man not compatible with 3.01 use redsnow

It is buggy. Either use ownagetool and follow the guide that I posted in another thread, or download one of the pre-made ipsws that I made for you all.

Again, no blackra1n

 

so if i don't have a mac, what do i do guesswho?
