I am having problems converting Avi DivX Xvid files to DVD, I have used several packages to convert them but they always appear to jerk or jump when converted, they get even worse when I burn to a DVD, any help would be appreciated?

I have used nero, dvdsanta, to name just 2, in total I have tried about 5 bits of software but the results are the same. with the exception of a couple that seem to be ok?

I have 1 gig of memory and let it encode overnight, so no apps running. Just seems a bit strange as the Avi files are perfect when run from the hard drive or even from a cd?
