join avi's

    hi
    i have a movie split in two parts of aprox 600 meg each. i'd like to join them, make a 700 meg avi out of them and then make an mpg, split it in two and burn. if i don't do this i'll have to burn on 4 cd's...

    my question is, after joining, how do i make the 1200 meg avi into a 700 meg avi?

    most greatful to anyone who can advise

    hi i had the same problem had a good movie 2 parts 700mb each used nandub to join them then virtuadub to compress them by compressing it in virtuadub you might be able to get it down to 800 or 900 mb avi

    what format are you trying to burn with dvd,vcd,svcd?

    thanx for replying, i'm trying to make a 2cd vcd, just can't figure out how to do it in virtuadub...
