Hi all! I'm trying to backup my Michael Collins flipper DVD that is already in bad shape. I've alreadu managed to decrypt contents to hard disk with no errors. Using the guides I've already red I still didn't manage to get the job done. To get you in to the problem were are the DVD details: Side A: Main movie (1h41m) and some extras Side B: Main movie and some more extras Now the problem begins. Side's B Main Movie is not main movie at all! The 25 min of film in side B are in the extras (when analyzing with DVDShrink for example) Is this a problem or should guides availabe do the job disregarding this fact? I've already tried to ways to backup the DVD: 1- Re-author with DVDShrink: DVDshrink puts movie of side B in the extras folder... 2- Vobedit+ifoedit guide: using this guide my last vob generanted (VTS_01_5.VOB) is not readble (invalid data in VOB is what DVDShrink says when I use it for burning) Some ideas would be appreciated. Many thanks.
The folders you see in DVD Shrink aren't important. Those are just there to organize the information for your convenience. Shrink not figuring out which title is the main movie shouldn't have any impact on how the backup is done unless you select all Extras for a higher compression rate (which I assume you wouldn't do because you know the movie's there).
So, after burning do dvd-r, shouldn't title 2 (movie side B) that DVDShrink says that is in the extras folder play continuosly after title 1?
The titles will play in whatever order you use when you re-author in Shrink. When you're putting titles on a disc in re-author mode there are no extras or main movie (or menus), just a list of whatever you add to the disc. When you look at the re-author window you can see the order titles will play in (top to bottom).
