I have a Genuine Starview that has a power problem. Also only part of the 'On' displayed on the fron pannel is missing ( Just th O is displayed).

Also the box when connected does no function - Nothing. It wont accept a new flash.

Basically i'm thinking of Jtagging it but when i opened the case the board is a different layout than that of a Clone.

Does anyone have an idea as to where to solder the wires of a jtag onto - on a Genuine Starview.
    Any help is appreciated

    Regards

Thanks ScOuser, Yep that hit the nail on the head. Again it's a friends box so i'm going to let my 'electronically' minded frien look at this on :)

It' also looks that this was brought about by a power surge of sorts
( possibility ) . Perhaps the habit of turning the box on /off via the plug socket as opposed to using the remote or the on'off button on the Box.

However, many thanks for the info - if i've any luck i'll PM

    Regards
