When using burned media in game consoles, it's important to ensure you get high quality disc. I recommend Verbatim because they are easy to find and you can always trust them. If your burner is capable of booktyping, I recommend you get DVD+R and booktype to DVD-ROM. This will help with compatibility in your XBOX. If your burner does not booktype, you're probably better off using DVD-R. Another thing to remember when burning console games is the burn speed. On 8x media, you should be ok to burn at 4x, although many people would suggest slowing it down to 2x. Hope this helps.

Taiyo Yuden & Verbatim are my top 2 picks
Supermediastore.com has them for great prices if you can buy online.
    Get the 8X DVD-R type
And do not buy the inkjet printable type
    Taiyo Yuden-silver thermal-8x DVD-R
    Media ID: TYG02
    Mfr part #: DVD-R47ZZSB8
    or
    Verbatim-8x DVD-R thermal-hub-printable-cake-box
    Media Code: MCC02RG20
    Mfr part #: 94852
