yes you can play emulators. like the nes, snes, gb,gbc, genesis, gamegear, pretty much old systems. there is no gba,ps,n64 emulators as the ds cannot support them. to find them use the search, there have been many thread about them. to play the gba, you will need an expansion pack. the expansion pack also acts as a rumble pack, and allows you to do stuff like use ds browser. as for homebrew, there are some, like messengers (AIM,MSN, ect.), theres also a VOIP to chat with others through headphones with wifi, there are homebrew games people have made. theres also other but i cant remember.
