hi there, we need an expert in installing one of these. we are not thick or stupid people or technophobes. we even had someone come around who has the 1000 and is good with things like this, we have tried everything. formatting a usb stick, putting in the area code. WHEN WE PUT THE USB STICK INTO THE BOX IT WILL NOT LET YOU GO DOWN TO THE USB DOWNLOAD OPTION. so, we put the firmware onto the usb pen, GOD we have tried everything and we are sitting here with the most expensive freeview box in the uk i think please can someone just give us step by step simple instructions so that we can start to watch some real television, this is now starting to cause family arguments and eruptions as the person we brought this off on ebay has been suspended and he wont contact us. we can get it working as a freeview box perfect, WHAT IS GOING ON HELP samantha xxx
lol Ya need this file EX1100USB_091106_epg_test.zip which is here http://www.4shared.com/get/147607247/3071db4a/EX1100USB_091106_epg_test.html Download and you need to UNZIP it, dont put it on the USB stick as is, you need winzip or winrar (google it) unpack the file and put it on the desktop, this is the file name after you unpack the file - EX1100USB_091106_epg_test.abs now, take yer memory stick and make sure you remove what was on it, drag the unpacked file from the desktop onto the memory stick, make sure the box is off when removing or inputting the stick into the box you then flash the box with the file
