Just soft modded xbox and need help

I softmodded my box and had no problems I decided to upgrade the hd so I used xboxhd 1.9 and everything went great up until the point where I used the save from splintercell and it launched unleash this wher I have a few questions
1. There is no option on the unleash menu to backup, does it automaticaly do this or what is the deal

2. When I go to turn softmod on or off and select turn soft mod on I get this error " batch process failed the last item was action: rename" what does this mean?

3. There is also no option to install evox is this automaticaly done when you turn the softmod on?

Like I said I modded it with no problem the first time and ran it it for a couple of days with no complications. I don't remember what exactly I did the first time and can not find the tutorial that I used. Some one please help I am at my witts end
