    Hello everyone,
I'm a complete newbie on transferring video to pc and need some help with my camcorder. I have a JVC Everio GZ-MG37U Digital camcorder and am using the Cyberlink software to try and capture video directly from the camcorder.
The problem I'm facing is that the camcorder doesn't show up as one of the capture sources in Cyberlink. The camcorder is connected via USB and it shows as an external drive in Windows Explorer, so I know that the USB connection is working. Cyberlink is the software that came with the camera, so it should recognize the camera ... I don't know if there is a setting that I'm supposed to set? Any help would be much appreciated.

Well now it's a few months later - do you still have a problem?

It's easier to transfer the files to your drive than to use it directly from the camcorder. From there, you can edit your files using cyberlink's power producer or power director.

It also helps to read the manual, as that is where most of the information and help is located.

    I have a JVC Everis GZ-MG35U version.
