Hi all Brand new to the site , I purchased a jvc GC-MG21u Back in July have never been able to get my video off and on to a disc , now camera is full and still am in trouble . I have been using windows media player I can watch it all just fine , but when I create a list to burn It keeps saying please in sert a writable empty disc in to drive and then it will begin to copy . I have gone and bought several brands of dvd+r disc and the same error occurs. What is this iddiot doing wrong ? Thanks Mark
You should be able to preferably copy and paste or alternatively drag and drop the files from your camera to your PC in Windows Explorer. Did you not get some software with your camera. Mine came with Cyberlink Power Director and Power Producer. Also you can download JVC Everio Utility 1.4 from the JVC web site to extract the files from the camera to your PC and change the file extension to MPG if you want to use other software for editing etc. I have had no difficulties downloading, editing and burning DVDs.
