jvc SAFEGUARD MODE

    My JVC digital recorder is turns on but won't operate and displays a message: "E01 - Unit in Safeguard Mode, Remove and reattach battery." The suggested procedure failed to clear the message. It seems to be a rebooting problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
