Hi guys. I'm planning to download and install the k-lite codec pack (full). As i only need some of the codecs, does the installation process allows a user to ONLY install the codecs that he wanted or does it install ALL the codecs? Pls enlighten. Thks.

Yes. During installation, you can check only those codecs you want to install.

If you only want a couple of things, I would suggest that you download and install them seperatly.

I am struggling with a few things related to Quicktime
    alternative.

I had to go back and find a version 1.55 to run on
    Win98SE

So what finally makes this thing go? Quicktime has
never wanted to run on my machine properly.

I am not going to upgrade more Microsoft stuff.

Its not likely that I need "mega" anything... just
    something to make it go

The problem I've run into with them is going through
the whole download routine only to find that something
    is only supported under XP.

I'm having a little better luck with VLS.
