k mail setup

    does anybody knows what i'm doing wrong in k mail setup and the smtp server replies => 5.3.3 AUTH mechanism PLAIN not available <= ???

    can you post some of your maillog?

    You don't seem to have allowed PLAIN LOGIN as an auth method.

    I fail to see how that isn't a real reply, the first 3 hits on that google link deal with that problem, and have possible solutions.
