I purchase and own the Nero 7 program that was brought from Office Depot and downloaded on my computer. I read the whole book/instructions carefully when I downloaded this program and did everything right. For almost several months this program haven't given me any problems until the day I downloaded a spyware virus by mistake and had to do a "Destruction System Restore" on my computer, which erase all my programs. I decided put all my programs back in, but now I keep getting this message/popup that say "Duplicate Patent Activation" on my Nero program. The popup bascially ask if I was reinstalling the program or if I was putting it on another computer. Of course I choose that I was reinstalling it and nothing seems to happen. The message simply disappear and I'm able to do whatever I was doing with my Nero. However whenever I log off and wait like 2 or three days and use the program again I get this same message again, as if I've done something wrong. First of all why would it ask me this? Are you not allowed to put the program on more than one computer? (I mean what if I wanted it on my desktop as well as my laptop?) Is this not allowed. What if I wanted to share it with someone else say a roommate or family member. Is this not allowed? If so why doesn't it say this on the box when you purchase it or anywhere in the instructions. Anyway I'm planning on doing another Destruction Restoral on my computer when I purchase the new Nero 8 version, but I was just wondering. Before I purchase the Nero 8 is there any other program out there that one can buy that's like Nero because this will be the fourth Nero I've purchase and registered with them and I sometime feel I'm wasting money. I mean one wrong move and all of a sudden Nero seem to bite your head off or give you a lot of trouble. What should I do in the meantime about my Nero 7 program and this "Duplicate Patent Activation." I've tried calling customer service but noone answer and the Tech support seems to cost $1.27 a minute and I'm not about to waist anymore money! Isn't it enough that most people are buying the program without having to pay money to speak to someone in Tech support about fixing the dam thing! What's wrong with this company?
