The trouble with keeping the original menus, is that you need your whole DVD to be 4.7GB or less (in which case you might as well ISO copy it which would keep the menus) or if its larger either re-encode the film so that it is smaller, or split onto two DVDs. There are many guides about on how to achieve this - Have a look here for some starters - http://ifoedit.wh.fr0zen.com/guides.html The general idea is to rip everything from your DVD. Find the main move IFO and split it into two with IFOEDIT, bearing in mind the size of the menu and extras (you might not be able to fit the extras on both discs - if you have a couple of gigs of extras, split the movie near the beginning and bung the extras on the first disc.) You can then use IFOedit to Get VTS Sectors, this in most cases will be as far as you need to go. You may need to edit the number of chapters in the VideoTS_IFO file and also change the first play command. The guides i mentioned earlier can explain all this to you.
