I hope it's ok to start a new thread about this, I did a search and waded through reams of posts but could not find anything similar.

My Kryptview remote control is very sluggish and unresponsive. It always has been. I have updated the firmware to latest (12/7/09) but it makes no difference.

No matter how close I sit to the box, the remote is always sluggish. I press a button and 50% of the time the box will react, 50% of the time it does not and I have to press again. Everything works but often takes two or three presses on the remote.

The remote has Evolution A750 written on it, I take it thats the standard remote that comes with the box.

Is there any cure for this "very" annoying problem, is there a better remote I can buy? will a universal remote work?

    many thanks

    Hi Mickah,

Bear in mind that my original post mentions that I am on the latest firmware, It has made no difference to the performance of the remote. I have read all the posts / links you pointed me to and cannot find a solution to the problem. It has been discussed in several places but no solution. Therefore I am assuming that it has not yet been solved and so the question remains open.
(The issue is not with scanning, but pressing buttons on the remote and getting the box to respond, changing channels, bringing up menus etc - that kinda thing).

Problem - Kryptview sluggish / unresponsive remote
    ===================================================
    1. Is this problem solvable ? (yes/no), if no then lets close the thread
    2. If solvable, then how?

    many thnaks

just to eliminate the remote, point the remote at a digital camera and you should be able to see the beams coming from the remote, just make sure all the buttons are working, if they are, then its a prob with the Kryptview itself, as a lot of peeps reporting the remote is improved

I have to say it actually is improved since the update but still not great. Thanks for the replies though - much appreciated

the latest firmware said that it addressed the remote issue..

i find that it has done very little for the a750!!!
still unresponsive at the best of times...
    (reflashed/factory doesnt resolve)

But i do have a brand new A750 bought this week....
and the remote issue does seem to be resolved on the currant batch of 750s!!!

So now i have 2 750s, the one with the remote prob was bought 5 weeks ago...

and the newest one does not have an issue...

this second box i assume is from the new stock of 750 that arrived in the UK last week or so...

So it seems that the issue is a hardware issue with the inital batch of 750s
