Just as i thought everything was going great guns,i now have a major problem. My box was glitching badly earlier on so i left it off for a while. Im just after putying in back on and now there isnt any power going into the box or any lights appearing. Ive changed the fuse inside the plug etc but still nothing. Because ive flashed it, i cant send it back even tho its only a week old. Any ideas as to what to do guys? Just typical that it happened over the weekend. Could it be that one of the capacitors inside has maybe blown? If so, how much does it cost to repair as i wouldnt have the confidence to solder it mysel. And would it be ok to put into an electrical store considering the software thats on it?
well if the box is dead, how will the supplier know you flashed it? Contact them and send it back as it obvioiusly a physical problem rathur than a software one and if the box aint working or got power, how will they know? Contact em and dont start opening the box or you will be rightly screwed
I havent opened it up thankfully. This is what the website says - All boxes will only receive the FTA channels. MyCableBox offer a 6 month hardware warranty and a 12 month manufacturer warranty, which is invalidated if any software is installed onto any receiver other than the factory installed software Wont they know once they repair it and try to power it on?
a funny guess is they dont repair em, prob send em back to the manufacturer for a refund, contact em mate as a box that goes completely dead after a week, thats a prob with the box, its prob the power supply or sumtin gone
Terrific. That means i will be without a box for the forseeable future. This fiasco just gets better. Ive emailed them so hopefully the reply will be swift. Close to tears
no I mean the replace yours and they are re-imbursed by the supplier, just taking a swing here as they would spend more times repairing boxs than sending em out
had that problem and i opened the box and ribbon ftom screen to board not in properly . dont worry about opening it as there is no seal on it.you might be lucky and this could be your prob
You are my new favourite poster!! Opened it up and there were a couple of connections that were a tad loose so i put them in properly and hey presto, it works!! Thanks guys
