you need at least a dual core, 2gigs of ram (preferably 4 since ram is dirt cheap), and a HD4850 to get decent framerates. Call of Duty: World at War Publisher: Activision Blizzard Developer: Treyarch Minimum System Requirements OS: Windows XP/Vista Processor: Pentium 4 @ 3 GHz/AMD 64 3200+ Memory: 512 MB (1 GB for Vista) Hard Drive: 8 GB Free Video Memory: 256 MB (nVidia GeForce 6600/ATI Radeon X1600) Sound Card: DirectX Compatible DirectX: 9.0c Keyboard & Mouse DVD Rom Drive meeting minimum requirements will get the game to play, but not smooth gameplay. like i said before, a new system is required. the P4 will be holding back the system.
eldarjane, what is the make & model# of your computer or motherboard as might be possible to upgrade certain components without having to buy new system?
Pentium(R)4 CPU 3.00Ghz 3.01Ghz,1.00GB of RAM i dont know how can i view my computer or Motherboard#..
Turn the number of bodys down and trun aa off that should speed it up a lot what settings do you have it set to also for the texatures trun them down a bit... I have a p4 as a media center with a nivida 8600gts 256mb.. and it runs it no lag at all I have a q9550 4gigs and ati 4870 and 4850 crossfired in my main one and it gets the same framerate as it did with my e6600 oced to 3.2 but on gta 4 night and day diffrence
Its in the video settings number of courpses turn it to low.. thats how many bodys stay dead on the screen for a time.. aa is antlista also goto textures and turn them to manual instead of automatic and turn them down as well shouldnt lag much at all if you doing lower settings
Well...my turn to throw my two cents in...World at War is quite a demanding game, IMO I think you should only upgrade your processor, memory, if you're not using a Socket 775 motherboard then you really need to if you want some of the new processors to work. By doing the above you should get a solid framerate (depends on what parts you go for)
@Sonic30 you can't play COD 5: world at war on a notebook video card almost all laptops have the card: Intel GMA 950 GMA 950 can't run world at war. playing on a notebook is very frustrating. why not buy a gaming computer instead for games and notebook for work and all that other stuff?
