Hi guys, hoping someone can help me out here. Not sure if its the right thread either. But recently iv started to play computer games again and i just realised that nearly every single game lags. Funny thing is, only the seriously old games dont lag (eg. NFS underground). Any slightly more newer games (crysis, GTA 4) lag like ****ing pain in the ass. For instance, in crysis I only get about 10-15 fps?!?!?! Now from my understanding my pc should be able to handle these things decently. Below is a list of my machine's specs: ~ Intel Pearl Creek DG31PR ~ Intel core2duo E4600 2.4GHz ~ DDR2 800 2*1G ~ PSU 400watts ~ Samsung HD200HJ 200GB ~ Leadtek PX9500GT DDR3 512mb ~ Creative Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit ~ Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit If anyone needs more info, please gimme a shout and id be more then happy to update you with it. But im really hoping that someone can tell me whats causing these lags, cause i really dont know how to play a game thats lags like and ass****.
Ultra-high speed 512MB of GDDR2 memory http://www.leadtek.com/eng/3d_graphic/overview.asp?pronameid=437 psu might be iffy as specs say 350 watts or higher. http://www.leadtek.com/eng/3d_graphic/specification.asp?pronameid=437&lineid=1&act=2 what video driver version are you using?
hey ddp! I also think it might be the PSU, my amperage is quite low for the 12v rail. Im running the the second ltest WQL 8.17.12.5721. any suggestions? Apparently this card was designed only for light gaming?!
might also want to up your ram a bit more. have you checked lagging games' sites to see what they reqiure for system specs & patches\updates?
yeah! going to up my ram and then see again. i just thought that since all the games only needed 1G, my 2G would do fine. But ill give it a try. I have. My system fufills the requirements easily. As far as i now, GTA 4 is the only one that was a slight problem and need patches. Thanks anyway
