if i use lame 3.90 in nero 6 ultra will it still produce the same quality as in e.a.c? i use the alt preset extreme setting in both.
If you have a good drive and the CDs are clean and unscratched yes, otherwise no. You'll just never know ... - How good is your drive? - How clean is clean enough? - When start scratches to become a problem? With EAC you're on the safe side, because all errors are noticed and corrected or reported. MP3 encoding quality should be the same.
tigre thanks for all the help you have given. also is there a player that plays mp4s like winamp windows ect.... and why does e.a.c freeze up on me when i select all tracks from a cd to rip to mp3 if i do 5 or 6 at a time it works fine but if i select all it freezes at 5 or the 6th track. thank you
Players capable of mp4 playback: foobar2000 quicktime NeroMix + Nero Media Player Any player capable of using Winamp input plugins, my favourite: XMPlay ... probably many more I don't really have an idea. Maybe some stability issue, maybe copy protection, ... enough space on HDD? If it's reproducable you might want to ask the same with a more detailed problem report at EAC forum: http://www.digital-inn.de/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=14_X_X_X_X_X_[small]AFTERDAWN FORUM RULES: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2487[/small]
