laptop battery

    ok, i have this brand new laptop, and i want to save the battery (i am only using it around the house). if i take it out, and leave it aside, will the life of the battery still degrade? (does battery life depend on time or number of charging cycles)

    so is it better to just leave it in, or does it not matter, because either way it will go bad?

    leave it in so won't forget about it when going mobile & not have external power avaiable.
