It's thick aluminum with two fans (think mickey mouse ears) and a heat sink at the opposite end that leads out to the side of the main casing. I think it's the power unit. It has a square on the underside that has about 400 tiny gold or copper pins in it. That connects to the board, I think, with a corresponding plastic square. In retrospect, I wish I wouldn't have taken it off, but my computer was having issues. I don't know what I'm going to do about those, but first I have to reseat this power thing correctly. I tried putting it in a few times, but that only bent some of the pins and two have broken off completely. It's awkward to try and fit it in. It has to be slide underneath something first which makes it even harder. By the time I get the two compatible pieces close enough together, I can't see them anymore because the way it's recessed into the computer. I tried dissembling the outer case, to help me see better, but it's like a witch-hunt trying to disconnect everything and I don't think I've located all the screws because a lot of stuff still feels heavily connected in the middle. That's about everything. Thanks for reading my post!
