I have recently been getting a problem where the laptop just dies whilst doing something, anything from browsing the interent, checking emails or creating a document.. Then it just wont turn back on. Soemtimes it takes two days then it will turn on and work fine for a bit.. any ideas?

when you try to turn it back on, does any of the lights come on? is there a light on the external power adapter? does it do this when using battery, external power or both?

Yes when plugged into power both lights come on.. When just Battery the the light comes on to show you've started it up. It makes a noise to start with, like it's starting up then just stays black and nothing happens. I have to turn it off by holding the on/off button. I could do this a random amount of times and then it just works. Sometimes it doesn't. And sometimes I'm working away and bang it just blacks out. Other times it works fine.. I've also been having problems with the amount of memory being used. There was no memory left even though I have hardly any media or programmes on it. (47.6gb memory on laptop) I managed to clear 12.5 gb then I got laptop on yesterday. Did some important updates and downloaded adaware se and it's gone down to only 9.76gb free so in one session over 2.5gb disappeared.. Is that normal?
Many thanks for taking the time to answer..
