Guys I have a toshiba satellite A135-S4656 windows vista laptop and I want to record audio that I can hear on my computer "whatever sound I can hear I should able to record" Do you all have any suggestions on a certain software that I can acquire that will allow me to record because my laptop does not have a recording sound card or do I have to buy an external piece to record.

First check the Volume Control Properties to see if it just isn't enabled. If you can turn 'What you Hear' on as a source, Audacity or MP3 DirectCut are two apps that can record it free. If that still isn't available as a source, try a 'Virtual Souncard' program like TotalRecorder.
