Ok guys so i have a problem with this memory i just got that i can seem to figure out. the acer 5620-4020 says it can handle 4 gig of ram from what i read so i ordered. i had 2 gigs of dual channel installed that came with it. when i install the 4 gigs it will not take it, i get a blue screen saying it is preventing from going any further to prevent damage. if i install a 2 gig stick and one of the orignal 1 gig stick it will start up. i switched both sticks and they both work so its not the memory. now heres the weird part. if i run the 3 gig combo that works (1 new stick of 2 gig and 1 old stick of 1 gig) it works like i said, however it depends on where i put the stick. if i put the original in slot one and the new stick in slot two it will work, but if i put the new stick in slot one and the old stick in slot two i get the same error message that i had in the beginning when installing the 4 gig stick. ? I am not sure what is going wrong since like i said i already rulled out the fact that the memory sticks are not bad. anyone have any suggestions?

If you have a 32 bit OS, it isn't going to recognize, or at least use, more that 3GB of RAM. Run it with the 3GB of RAM, if that worked for you.
