Hi All, I have a Acer Aspire 5536 and I am looking at upgrading my memory, it came with 2GB stock and I was wanting to go up to 8GB, The problem is that some sites say the maximum I can install is 4Gb (2x2)4 GB Example and other sites say 8GB (2x4))8 GB Example. Acers product spec states, "Maximum 4GB/8GB DDR2" depending on revision but it doesnt clarify what the different revisions are ANy help appricated.
i surmise that the difference in memory spec is because of x86 or x64 OS. it looks like 2X4GB small outline dimm of ddr2 667 will work, as long as you use a 64 bit Operating System
