I'm going to be getting a laptop from a friend for $100 (dead backlight) figured it would give me a chance to tinker around with some stuff. Just wanted to know if anyone knows of any sites that have information on LED mods, cooling fans, cases, etc. Tried googling but didnt find an abundance of information, maybe i'm just typing in the wrong things to search for though i dunno.
This is a forum for building new PCs(desktops) so you probably wont get much help here. Maybe check on llama.com and their xbox 360 modding forums. They solder LEDS on their controllers, consoles, and everything else they can get their hands on. Maybe they can help?
Definately a possibility, i'm familiar with the site. Just thought i would be able to get a little bit of help on where i could tap into for powering the surface mount LED's. I came across notbookforums.com earlier today which gave me some ideas. But aside from that haven't found much on it. Thanks for replying though.
