Today my power-brick for my HP Pavilion DV6000 started making loud clicking noises and then I smelled a burning smell. I immediately unplugged the brick and left it too cool down overnight (it was burning hot and usually is). In the morning I plugged it in again after it had colled and it immediately began making clicking noises again so I unplugged it; already i could smell burning again. What do I do now? I think my warranty has run out but the HP website claims I don't have an account with them (I checked my email address with them but they said it wasn't in their database). In my account is my registered laptop to show them that bought it so I could get a replacement or something. Can anybody suggest what I should now do?

Faulty power brick. Contact HP to purchase a replacement.
