Hello. I just bought a Toshiba laptop. its fully functional and all but when i hooked it up to a wireless connection. Even though it recieves a connection and everything, it always has the "Local Area Connection Unplugged" message. It really bugs me and im wondering if this is normal or is there a way to get rid of it. Thank you!!

that popup message is referring to your network card and that it is not connected to a wired hub/router. it has nothing to do with your wireless connection. as far as I know you can't get rid of it, other than clicking the "X" at the top to make it go away.

Yea its fine. I have the same laptop a Toshiba Satelite laptop and it also shows the LAN Unplugged.

To get rid of it u can try right clciking on the taskbar and go to properties and and press customize and then go through the list till you find the LAN icon and u can say always hide option. thats a way u can get rid of it but not lose it.

Yeah, it shouldn't bother you. That's for when you plug directly into the network. If you're going wireless, like me and probably lots of others here, it shouldn't affect you.
