I successfully installed a 250 mb hard drive. Has any one else done this or are there other forums discussing this. I would like to try to add a second hard drive. fyi partition new hard drive to the max format in windows must have fat32 shut down unit with power button and unplug for safety takeout old drive plug in new drive plug back in power up. Unit copies some folders and files and then settle down after a couple of minutes. You should have 300 plus hours at slp when you go to timer recording. If you burn up your machine don't blame me. Life is a gamble. ps a ilo drive can be installed in a pc and files read and copied. You can play the content files if you rename them to .mpg assuming you can play mpg on your computer now. I would think you could down load mp3's to the hard drive this way. I haven't tried it yet because you can put 5 gigs of mp3 on a dvd and play em that way. So why bother. You could do jpgs to the hard drive too. But again I don't know if the ilo file manager will pick them up. The dvd files would be picked up and played. So again why bother. Just for fun I guess. You can also archive a lot of stuff to a big drive in your computer. It takes a long time if you have a lot of files but a hard drive will hold a lot more than a dvd. Only question is how long does a hard drive hold it's data. I quess you could refresh it every year or so via defrag in the ilo or your pc whether it needs it or not it should rewrite everything. see ya fhazl
