I have got the Pioneer 106 DVD Burner. I have been advised to get hold of the latest firmware for it as it will help in doing better burning and will provide a better base for the burning software to work with and generally it will just be less error prone. Is this correct and if so where can i get the latest firmware from?
There's a simple rule for all things ending in drive (or computer for that matter). If it works fine leave it alone!
I'm trying to install the latest fireware but when i run the update it can't detect my dvd burner, i'm using the same burner, the pioneer DVD-R 106. Go to http://www.cdfreaks.com/drive/firmware/957 to get the lastest firmware or goto www.poineerelectronics.com and click on computer dvd drives on the left. If anyone can help with installing my firmware i would really be grateful.
